One of the goals is the hydrological and hydromechanical modeling of more than 80 bavarian cities. The modeling is done on high performance computers (HPC) as standard desktop computer reach their limits with a scaling spatial and temporal resolution or an increase of the catchment area. Additionally, the use of HPC enables the parallelization and automation of the repetitive computational process.

At the beginning of the project a data management plan is created and continuously updated over the course of the project. There, a coherent structure to store the data and standards to use and share the data is defined that the reuse of the data is ensured for the staff. As a result of the coupling of the models common data types and structures are defined for the automated processing. Further, the verification of the data allows the reusability and replicability of research results.
